Website for a sailing club with a history
Union-Yacht-Club Traunsee
)
Since 1888, the Union-Yacht-Club Traunsee has brought together sailing, youth work and club life. We redesigned and built its website. It shows the Traunsee in motion and makes more than a hundred years of regattas and achievements easy to find.

01Starting point
The Union-Yacht-Club Traunsee is one of Austria's sailing clubs with a long tradition. Over the decades, a lot of content has accumulated: regattas and results, a roll of honour with achievements since 1934, information for members and guests, youth training and events.
The new website was meant to bring order to this wealth of content. Members, guests and families involved in youth sailing should quickly find what they are looking for. At the same time, it should show what the club stands for: tradition, sailing and community on the Traunsee.

02Solution
We developed a custom WordPress theme for the club. The home page leads into the website through four areas: Club, Sailing, Youth and Club life. Clear typography, a deep blue and a warm brown give it a calm, high-quality look.
Hero
The entry point is a video of the Traunsee with sailing boats in front of Schloss Ort. Above it are the club's name, the year it was founded and two direct paths: to the calendar and to membership. On a smartphone the layout stays the same, only more compact.
Regattas
The regatta archive lists the races year by year since 1971, with links to the results. The roll of honour brings together the sporting achievements of club members, up to the Olympic Games. The regatta calendar and the youth calendar show what is coming up in the current season.
Club life
News keeps members and guests up to date on regattas, events and club life. The club camera shows a live view of the club grounds and regularly changes perspective during the day. Members have their own login area.

03Result
The UYCT now has a website that is as lively as club life on the lake. New posts, regattas and dates are easy to add in the content management system. A project from our Web Design & Development service.
