Hosting and server log files
This website is operated by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestraße 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. The servers are located in data centres in Germany that are certified to ISO/IEC 27001. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Hetzner.
Each time a page is accessed, the server automatically stores the following information in log files:
IP address of the accessing device
date and time of access
address accessed and amount of data transferred
status code of the response
address of the previously visited page (referrer)
browser and operating system
We need this information to provide the website securely and without errors, to detect attacks and to find errors. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not combine the log files with other data and delete them as soon as they are no longer needed for these purposes.
Content, images and videos
We manage the content of this website in the Storyblok content management system of Storyblok GmbH, Peter-Behrens-Platz 2, 4020 Linz, Austria. Our server retrieves the texts from Storyblok. No data about you is transferred in the process.
Your browser loads images and videos directly from Storyblok (a.storyblok.com). Storyblok delivers them via the Amazon CloudFront content delivery network of Amazon Web Services. In the process, your IP address and technical information about your browser are transferred so that the files load quickly and from a nearby server. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a fast and reliable presentation of the website under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. A data processing agreement is in place with Storyblok.
Amazon Web Services may also process data in the USA. The company is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. An adequacy decision of the European Commission under Art. 45 GDPR therefore applies to the USA.
Videos are played without sound and without platforms such as YouTube or Vimeo.
